The Next Big Thing: Emma Paul

Emma Paul has captured our hearts and libidos with her stellar books Soulmate's Touch and Kaden's Breeder, then shattered our expectations with Prisoner of DarkHaven.  Now she's giving us even more to look forward to.

1)    What is the working title of your current/next Sizzler Editions book?
Currently I am working on several projects, which I’m hoping will make into Sizzler.  Corbin’s Captive is my most recent work that is currently on my Editor’s desk. This is the sequel to Kaden’s Breeder and the second book in my Galactic Breeders series. I’ve also plotted a second book and sequel to Soulmate’s Touch, for my Gargoyle Soulmates series.

2)    Where did you get the idea for that book?
The idea for Corbin’s Captive, came to me after I finished Kaden’s Breeder. Corbin needed to have his story told. After being betrayed by his Breeder, he really needed a break.  Also, I based Corbin someone who I knew personally. It was a very emotional book for me to write. I used a lot of past experience into this book. I think that’s why it took me longer than I had anticipated to finish.

3)    What's the genre of the book?
Science fiction erotic romance.

4)    How would you describe your book in one sentence (25words or less)?
25 words or less?  Corbin’s Captive will capture your heart and your imagination, and make you believe in the power of love.

5)    If you could pick actors to play the lead characters in your story, who would you pick?
Well I picture Selma Hayek as Yani, Micheal Greyeyes as Corbin, and Gor I would pick Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

6)    Now this movie needs a soundtrack – what songs/tracks best fit your book?
Given the content of the book…
-Ironman by Black Sabath
-Mr. Crowley by Ozzy Osbourne
-Welcome to the Jungle by Guns and Roses
-Black Dog by Led Zeppelin
-Nothing but love by Mr. Big

7)    How long did it take you to write the first draft of this book?
Actually the first draft didn’t take all that long. I like to plot out all the chapters before actually pulling the story together. So I had this story plotted out around the same time Kaden’s Breeder came out.  I had already known that Corbin’s Captive would be the next book. It only took me a couple of days to put the whole story together. I completed the first draft rather quickly, for me anyway, in couple of weeks. The revisions, additions and characterization takes much longer for me.

8)    What other books within your genre are similar to yours?
I honestly haven’t really given that much thought.  There are so many alien abduction/Human women needed for procreation, books out there.  I would like to think that while my formula may be similar to those books, my stories and plots are pretty original.

9)    Who or what inspired you to write this book?
Years ago when I was in my late teens, I had a close friend who struggled with addiction. Much of Corbin’s struggles are based on the experiences of my friend. Unfortunately there was not a happy ending in his story.

10) What about your book will pique the reader's interest?
Hopefully, the reader will live vicariously through the experiences of the characters. I think this book is unique because it is not only a Fantastic Science Fiction story that takes place in an alternate Universe with non-human characters, but it deals with a very human issues, child abuse, drug addiction and physiological depression. Also, the love story in this is both intense and emotionally driven.

3) What's the genre of the book?
BDSM Paranormal Erotic Romance

4) How would you describe your book in one sentence (25words or less)?

Will Neha submit to her ghostly Master, or be driven away like the others?

Blair Underwood would do a spectacular job as Jamaal Cooper.  Keira Knightley would be great as the politician's daughter, Neha Thompson.

6) Now this movie needs a soundtrack – what songs/tracks best fit your book?
Like a Dog Chasing Cars from The Dark Knight.

7) How long did it take you to write the first draft of this book?
The first installment is for an anthology and it's probably around 20,000 words. It took me a few weeks to write that. I'm now expanding this story to a full novel version in 2013.

9) Who or what inspired you to write this book?
I was "drafted" by our beloved editor, Sascha Illyvich to write in a BDSM paranormal romance anthology. The characters needed to be M/F. That's all the information we received. So....I decided to try my hand at combining a little bit of politics and history to write my contribution. Cream on the Crop is an interracial romance, by the way.

10) What about your book will pique the reader's interest?
The farm is haunted by Jamaal. He cannot leave the farm. Ever. He's been yearning for a submissive for over 65 years and Neha has the right spunk and interests to be his perfect mate. Will she stay and be his, or run like the others have?

Fun Facts about For Her Will

Promoting a love story is hard, but pushing six love stories?  Wow, I'm a masochist heh.  This month's fun involves For Her Will, a revised, re-covered version of my collection of six Female Domination stories.

The funny thing about it is that as rare as the elusive Female Dominant is, the male submissive is far less rare.  The number of male submissives tends to outnumber female dominants  10:1 actually...

Why?

A little more in depth analysis of my world at the time included a need to be guided, controlled, shown I wasn't a wreck like I'd been led to believe.  I needed someone to show me the way the world could work with the goals I started to establish when I was younger.

In short, I was crying out.

BDSM gave me a productive, non destructive path out of the mess in my head.  The stories came easily because I was a wreck and the characters I wrote could take on different aspects of me.  So yeah, in the early days there was a lot of "me" in the stories because writers draw from what they know to create what becomes new.

Plus, because I like chasing money, Female Dominance was a way for me to establish myself in both the Scene and the erotica world as a credible author.

Once again, that indestructible inspiration for Mistress Kitty was actually mentioned and the star of sorts, in "The Punishment Due."  The story title came from a Megadeth song by the same name  It happens to be that the very same song was playing when a Russian Wetworks team came hunting for the REAL Mistress Kitty after she'd stolen one too many eggs from them.

Too bad they found her.

I wrote a lot of these stories to really angry metal.  No surprise there.  Megadeth had NOTHING to do with any of the stories here, or the setting.  I can't write to the awesomeness that is Dave Mustaine.

Around that time, Distrubed's first album came out and that made for a GREAT BDSM album.

My full journey into BDSM came in 2001 when I had a Mistress and we met because I had to have her...but see the note above about the Russian Spetsnaz..

How about a lovely excerpt?

From The Punishment Due

Shaking, he'd managed to get out of the car and ran over to Christine, who walked slowly toward him.  He took her leather suitcases and carried them to the car.

"Hello, pet."
Still shaking, he bowed his head.
"So nice of you to be sober in coming to pick up your mistress.  Put my luggage in the back seat and take me home."
Something else was on her mind, good.  Sascha did as she asked, carefully setting her suitcase in the back seat.
Rushing around to open her door, he almost tripped over the curb again.
Christine's snicker was worth hearing, because it wasn't an angry growl.
Sascha watched her sit down, moving a few reddish blond hairs behind her ear.  She looked at him, her eyes weary from a long flight back.  Still, her expression said it all.  Aggravation.
"Well?  What are you waiting for?  Shut the damn door."
The heat outside wasn't the only thing causing him to sweat.   "I'm sorry," he said as he bowed his head.  Shutting her door, he trotted over to the other side and got into the driver's seat.
"I was only gone three weeks.  Can you not handle yourself for that long without me?"
Turning to face her with lowered eyes, Sascha said nothing.
"Well?"
"I can't," he yelled.
Flinching when he saw her hand rise, Sascha leaned back into the leather seat.
Sighing, she put her hand down.  "It figures.  It's okay.  I missed you too."  She glanced at the people passing by before turning back to him.  "I have a new toy for us to try out, or rather, for you to help me demonstrate.  I picked up a few things while I was out.  Aren't you glad I was thinking of you?"
"Yes, ma'am."  Sascha's eyes remained lowered.
"Good boy.  Now, drive us home."
Putting the car in gear, he pulled out of the space and drove home.  The deafening silence between them only made Sascha more nervous as he tried to focus on the road.  Expecting her to yell at him or beat him in public like a former mistress did, he'd been terrified of Christine's return, especially since he'd disobeyed her last night by getting trashed at the bar.
At least she'd held his hand as they drove back.  Hers on top, of course.
Pulling into the driveway, Christine squeezed Sascha's hand.  He turned, staring into her beautiful hazel eyes, "You will serve me over the next few days, like you have never done before, do you understand?"
Sascha nodded.
"Good boy.  Now get my things.  We'll start tonight."
Sascha started to get out of the car, but a hand on his shoulder stopped him.  "Wait," she said.  "I forgot this."  Christine reached into her jacket and pulled out a black cock ring.  "I have company coming over later tonight and you will be wearing this while they are here.  Understand?"
"Yes, Mistress."
Taking the piece of leather in hand, Sascha examined it.  It was your typical cock ring, small, stretchy and wearable for long periods.  He started to put it in his pocket but Christine stopped him again.
Her evil expression showed clearly in her eyes.  "You know what?  Give our next door neighbor a show.  Come back for my luggage in only the cock ring."  She grinned, nodding her head.
"You mean?"
"Yes, Mrs. Crenshaw.  She's had her eye on you, and I'd like to flaunt you in front of her.  Besides, it's not as if she hasn't seen you in a dress before."
Sascha sighed, remembering the day he came out in a short skirt, his body bruised and sore.  He winced as Mrs. Crenshaw smiled at him and Christine.
"There'll be no disagreements with that, unless you want her to come over tonight too."
"But–"
"Nothing."  She raised one hand and put two fingers to his lips.
"Yes Mistress."
Christine got out of the car, waving at Mrs. Crenshaw, who was tending her garden.  Sascha admittedly had no interest in relationships with any women other than Christine, but his mistake was admitting he'd been curious about men.  The day he told her this, her eyes lit up like a Christmas tree and her grin widened.
He hoped tonight wasn't the night she chose to break him into anal sex with a man.  Knowing her evil streak, she'd bring home a very well endowed man to fuck the living shit out of him.
Glancing at Mrs. Crenshaw, Sascha cringed.
Following Christine inside, he stopped just inside the doorway.
"Strip."
Sascha pulled off his shirt.  Untying and stepping out of his shoes, he set them aside, then removed the remainder of his clothes.
"Forgetting something?"
Sascha groaned.  Reaching into his pocket, he retrieved the cock ring.  His erection was already at half-mast when he slipped the ring on securely.
Christine smiled, licking her lips while touching his cock.  "Let's get that thing nice and hard," she giggled.
Sascha stood in the doorframe, his head peaking out to see who was around.  Feeling Christine's suit against his naked ass made him tremble.
"Come on," she yelled harshly.  "What are you waiting for?  My luggage isn't going to get itself."
Walking quickly toward the car, Sascha caught sight of Mrs. Crenshaw's widening grin as he went around to the passenger side of the car, hiding his nudity from his neighbor.
Grabbing her suitcase, he hurriedly paced back to the front door, greeted by a stolid frown.  "Next time, you'll come back on her side."
"Damnit," he muttered.
"Oh, I heard that.  There will be a spanking for that later."  Christine looked at her watch.  "Oops, I forgot my briefcase.  Go."
Sascha went back out and grabbed the briefcase from the car, this time walking around to the driver's side door, giving Mrs. Crenshaw a better glimpse of his cock.  Shutting the door, he wondered just how wet Christine was, watching her pet strut about the front yard in the buff.  It didn't matter.  Now that all the blood was draining south, his head hurt more.
"Come here, pet."  She extended both hands.
Handing her the briefcase, he took her other hand and was led inside briefly, where Christine's lips fell on his.  Parting his lips for her invading tongue, Sascha's cock hardened to the point of pain as she explored his mouth.  A hand went to the back of his head, pressing him deeper into the kiss before her tongue slowly withdrew from his mouth
"Follow me."  Her whisper vibrated against his ear.  Christine led him back outside, opening the driver's side door.  "Kneel."

The Next Big Thing - Bonni Sansom

Erotic Romance at it's finest comes in many forms but for us, it's Bonni Sansom. Author of Eternal Bliss and Jack's Christmas Wish, she stopped by to give us a glimpse of what's coming next!

1) What is the working title of your current/next Sizzler Editions book? Chasing Bliss

2) Where did you get the idea for that book? Actually it's a sequel to Eternal Bliss. Jeff and Melanie's story.

3) What's the genre of the book? Contemporary romance.

4) How would you describe your book in one sentence (25words or less)? A man tries to rekindle a relationship with a lawyer who has a stalker. Love lust and danger will keep you turning the pages.

6) Now this movie needs a soundtrack – what songs/tracks best fit your book? I write to Nickleback, so I guess that would fit.

7) How long did it take you to write the first draft of this book? Almost a year and still writing.
What other books within your genre are similar to yours? Anything from Maya Banks, Erin McCarthy or Lora Leigh.

9) Who or what inspired you to write this book? Writing the first one was so much fun, I had to write Jeff's story.

10) What about your book will pique the reader's interest? But the dialogue is really good too.

Nine out of ten of the voices in my head agree I'm completely sane.

Billierosie On Hunger - A Feast Of Sensual Tales Of Sex And Gastronomy

Here's a great review of M.Christian's brand-new anthology Hunger: A Feast Of Sensual Tales Of Sex And Gastronomy - by the fantastic Billierosie!

The writer Italo Calvino says; “In love, as in gluttony, pleasure is a matter of the utmost precision.”

When the innovative M.Christian and Alyn Rosselini suggested food and erotica as a theme for Sizzler’s latest anthology, A Lover’s Feast, I was reminded of Italo Calvino’s words.

Sex and food. Food and sex. The two are inextricably linked. The stories here celebrate their unique relationship. Whether it’s teen lovers slurping down hot dogs, washed down with Pepsi, or a dinner of the finest cuisine, eaten lovingly by a sophisticated gourmet, we watch each other as we eat.

We bite, we swallow, we lick our fingers, we kiss and taste each other.

Here is what Sizzler have to say about their great new anthology.

Food and sex – sex and food: two great things that can be even better together! From soothing chocolate to spicy meatballs the stories in this brand new erotic anthology edited by two masters of the genre - M.CHRISTIAN and ALYN ROSSELINI - feature stories by the crème-de-la-crème of sexual and literary cooking and will tickle your sensual taste buds and stir your pot of erotic thrills.
Basting lovers, cooking orgies, steaming hot encounters, straight as well as queer taste treats ... the stories in HUNGER: A FEAST OF SENSUAL TALES OF SEX AND GASTRONOMY will push boundaries everyone's pleasurable buttons – both erotic and gastronomic: these are stories that will arouse, amuse, amaze, and whet your appetite for more!

Authors in this so-very tasty anthology include: SUSAN ST. AUBIN, DOMINIC SANTI, GISELLE RENARDE, ERIN O'RIORDAN, OLIVIA LONDON, JESSICA LENNOX, KIRSTEN IMANI KASAI, CÈSAR, SANCHEZ ZAPATA, GREGORY L. NORRIS, HEIDI CHAMPA, and BILLIEROSIE

And Sizzler’s writers have delivered in quality and abundance. As I read the stories, I think of taste, aroma, texture, moist inside my mouth, crumbling in my fingers; like these stories in “A Lover’s Feast”, playing havoc with my senses. I am gluttonous, as I gorge on these sexy tales.

In “A Meal”, Susan St.Aubin, has Evelyn preparing a meal for the man in her life, her lover Hal and the woman in her life, her lover, Rebecca. The point of view moves between the characters, telling of desire, lust, jealousy. Two girls and a guy, it should have all gone so smoothly, but lust for the flavour of food, overtakes the lust for sex. The salmon mornay, scooped and slurped from scallop shells is too delicious. Susan St.Aubin is talking about the dark side of desire. Evelyn has tried to control desire and it has turned around and bitten her.
But what surprises her most of all, is that Hal is repelled by what Rebecca has in her mouth.

In “Jeb’s Wife”, Dominic Santi gives us three guys and a girl. Kaylee loves to cook. The guys love to eat; they all love to do other things. Through the delectable style of Kaylee’s homemaking skills, the four ravenous friends bring a whole new aspect to the notion of coming together. Whenever I have read Dominic Santi’s stories, I have always been drawn to, and impressed with the way he conjures up visual images. In “Jeb’s Wife”, he excels at writing spectacle. The orgy in the final paragraph, is loaded, saturated with excess. And it works.

Kirsten Imani Kasai’s contribution to the anthology is “Best Served Cold.” It is a skilful dish of betrayal, love; a haunting mix of recipes turned into a powerful lament. It is a story that stays with you, long after you have read the final paragraph.

In “Une Apetito Rubusto”, Renatto Garcia, has Gwen on holiday in Italy, with her girl friends. It is supposed to be a male free holiday. Gwen has taken a vow of abstinence, more than that; she has sworn off men for life. Then she meets Cristoforo, “with eyes the shape of ripe olives”. They drink wine in a bar; Blanc de Morgex, Petite Arvine, Picotendro. The exotic names are a slow tango of seduction. Cristoforo educates Gwen in the subtle arts of taste, aroma, texture. In a scene of pure, undiluted erotica, Gwen swoons into a bathtub of Italian marble; she is saturated with wonderful, luscious grapes and red, red wine.

Then there is Giselle Renarde’s tale, “The Sweetest Burn”. A woman becomes a vessel on which to serve Chef’s latest concoction. She is a platter; she also holds the secret ingredient within her skin and Chef’s expert tongue wants to taste and test the balance of flavours. Her sweat and bodily fluids enhance the recipe. The writer draws on the sensation of touch, as Chef laps, sucks and slurps his way over her flesh. “Her flesh was a regular bouquet garni of human aromas.”

And another Chef, in Gregory L. Norris’ “Foodie”. Marcel wakes up in the middle of a crazed fantasy. At least, as far as looming into consciousness and realising that you’re bound and helpless is a fantasy. Marcel is the current “it” man of the TV celebrity chef world. While in bondage, Marcus is feasted upon; his bodily secretions are pronounced as delicious by the “foodie”. Whether it’s a marinade or a glaze; a garnish to a delectable salad or an icy swirling decoration in a frosted glass, Marcus is there to be consumed.

The stories in this fabulous anthology have resonance. Perhaps it’s a moment in a restaurant, a bar, or a café or sharing coffee and croissants in bed with your first lover. A secluded picnic beneath an oak tree or catching and cooking a plump fish on a barbeque. The smoky aroma drifts and lingers.

Watching your lover cook with his fingers, eat with his fingers and getting turned on. Both of you.

Deep, dark green extra virgin olive oils and fragrant raspberry vinegars, gooey, slippery egg yolks separated from their whites. Oysters swallowed whole, slipping slowly down your throat. Peppery, yellow and orange nasturtium flowers scattered into a salad of green rocket with tiny, ripe, sweet vine tomatoes. Flavour and sensation, bursting on your tongue. Lapiz blue borage flowers crushed into chilled Pimms with chinking chunks of ice. Fragrant, golden honeysuckle flowers decorate an airy lemon soufflé. Pink damask rose petals scattered over a white, linen table cloth. Pomegranate seeds, staining mouths scarlet, little rubies hinting at the forbidden, bitter and sweet. Runny golden honey, crunchy, dripping, sticky eaten straight from the comb. White of egg, slimy, then whipped into a white, fluffy, crisp Pavlova. And smooth, dark chocolate, silky on the tongue, slowly melting.

And while writing this review, I am reminded of a scene from Tony Richardson’s great 1963 film, “Tom Jones.”

The famous, sex-drenched eating scene between Tom (Albert Finney) and, (all unknowingly) possibly his mother Mrs. Waters (Joyce Redman) begins naturally enough with big steaming pewter bowls of soup. Mrs. Waters leans over the table and lustily slurps big round spoonfuls, her breasts tumbling out of her bodice, with a more-than-come-hither look. Tom, nearly overcome, involuntarily rips a claw off the langouste he has in his hand and sucks happily on it. Drafts of ale, turkey, oysters, pears, and wine are then dispatched with loving attention.

M.Christian and Alyn Rosselini’s “Hunger!” anthology, has its roots in the spirit of Henry Fielding’s novel, published in 1749 and Tony Richardson’s 1963 film; both entitled “Tom Jones”.

And “Hunger is out now! Shortly to be available at Amazon, you can buy it here at Sizzler!
